Passenger Dustin Willis, Who Fled DUI Crash Arrested

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -- Warrants were issued for four more adults in a crash that killed a 16-year-old in Douglas County. Investigators said a passenger who ran from the scene has been arrested.

The crash happened early Saturday moing on Pleasant Road. Investigators said driver Jason Lark, 17, was drunk when he lost control of the Chevy Blazer. Passenger Cheyenne Sauls was thrown from the vehicle and died. Another teen, Jamie McManus, was injured.

Lark was charged with drunken driving, but a 21-year-old passenger who ran from the scene was on the loose for days. Because he was not driving, he cannot be charged with fleeing. The passenger, Dustin Willis, was arrested Thursday moing and charged with party to vehicular homicide and fuishing alcohol charges.

Investigators said four additional adults were in the process of being arrested or would be allowed to surrender. One of the warrants was issued on a Douglasville code enforcement officer.

On Wednesday, four people accused of illegally providing alcohol to the group in the car were arrested. A package store worker, Rakeshbhai "Rocky" Patel, faces several charges, including two counts of fuishing alcohol to minors. Two other adults, Sherman Bennett and Christopher Roth, were also charged with fuishing alcohol to minors. Investigators said the two were at a party the group in the car attended. They also arrested an unnamed minor.
