One brother dead, another shot in Lithonia

LITHONIA, Ga. - DeKalb County police say a brother is dead and another was shot as they were babysitting at a home in Lithonia.

According to the police report, the brothers, a 23-year-old and a 24-year-old, were shot outside a home in the 1500 block of Tubridge Wells Crescent on Thursday moing.

Family members say the brothers were babysitting three children when the shooting occurred. The 23-year-old reportedly went outside to check on the dogs. Police say there was some sort of commotion and he was fatally shot.

The older brother went outside afterwards and was shot in the arm.
