DECATUR, Ga. - DeKalb County police are investigating an officer-involved shooting. It happened on Kingswood Run after police received a burglary call from a neighbor.

Authorities tell FOX 5 that a neighbor called police after seeing several people go into a house. When police arrived to investigate the burglary call, officers saw several people leave the house, and they say one appeared to be reaching for a weapon. That’s when one of the officers drew a weapon and fired.

The suspect sustained non-life threatening injuries. Several other suspects were taken into custody. The officer involved in the shooting will be placed on paid administrative leave while the incident is investigated.
