Nicole Kidman knocked down by paparazzo on bicycle

NICOLE Kidman will press charges after she was knocked over by a paparazzo who crashed into her on a bicycle as she left a fashion show in New York.

Oscar-winner Kidman had just left the Calvin Klein show for New York's Fashion Week and was retuing to the Carlyle Hotel.

As she walked toward the entrance, a freelance photographer named Carl Wu was roaring toward her on his bike, reports TMZ.

Witnesses told TMZ  that as Wu got dangerously close to Nicole, he appeared to hit his brakes, but it didn't do the trick. He slammed into her and she went crashing to the ground.

Kidman was helped back up and seemed OK.

She lost her shoes in the incident.

Witnesses said she was furious and will press charges.

Wu, who was wearing earphones, got tangled in his red bike on the hotel’s welcome mat after ploughing into Kidman.

Wu, who has had run-ins with other celebrities, including Lady Gaga, was taken in by police and issued a summons for riding on the footpath. He was released soon after.

It isn't Kidman's first run-in with a paparazzo.

Kidman has had a long-running feud with celeb snapper Jamie Fawcett in Sydney.

In 2005, Fawxcett was accused of planting a listening device outside Kidman's Sydney home.
