Natalie Wood autopsy amended in newly released report does not clear up mystery
It's been more than 30 years since Natalie Wood drowned while yachting with husband Robert Wagner and actor Christopher Walken, but speculation surrounding her death may live on forever.
The Los Angeles County coroner's office has released an addendum to Wood’s autopsy report to answer lingering questions about bruises on her upper body.
The upshot: Wood may have received some of the bruises found on her arms, as well as scratches and abrasions on her face and neck, before entering the water, but there isn't enough evidence to say for sure. Wood's cause of death, amended last year from "drowning" to "drowning and other undetermined factors," will remain as is — as will the mystery.
