Paulding County officials arrested and charged a mother and her daughter with murder in the shooting death of a 44-year-old man that occurred in May 2011.

The Paulding Authorities & GBI say Elgerie M. Cash, 45, and Jennifer M. Weathington, 20, were arrested after they were apprehended by the U.S. Marshal’s Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force on Monday.

Both are charged in the murder of Lennis Donovan ”Donny Jones, 44, at a home on Fenwick Court in Dallas on May 30. Police say Jones died of a gun shot wound to the head.

Police say they were able to gather enough evidence to secure warrants for their arrest.

Cash and Weathington are currently being held at the Paulding County Detention Center where they are both facing Felony Murder charges.
