Monkey escapes enclosure in Massachusetts
According to a WWLP-TV report, a 12 pound guenon monkey named Dizzy escaped from its enclosure at the Zoo in Forest Park, in Springfield Massachusetts, on Tuesday. The zoo has been temporarily closed while employees attempt to recapture the animal.
The zoo says on its website that an employee had been cleaning the enclosure and stepped out to assist a visitor when Dizzy twisted the doorknob and let himself out. They say that this has never happened before.
The primate has been located inside the zoo and employees were trying to get him back into his enclosure on Tuesday afteoon.
