Mom, Toddler Hit By Car in Clarkston

Police in DeKalb County say a mother and her young child were struck by a car Monday moing in Clarkston.

It happened outside the entrance to the Olde Plantation Apartments off of Montreal Drive.

 

Police say the woman and her toddler and baby girl were crossing the parking lot at the same time the driver of a black sedan was pulling in. They say the driver tried to avoid the family, swerving into the path of another car, but the family moved into the car¿s path as they tried to avoid it.

 

The mother was taken to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, while her young son was taken to Eggleston Hospital. Her baby girl, who was in a stroller, was not injured.

The driver is not expected to be cited in the accident.
