Menage-a-trois: Jealous wife Mindi Rice fires gun at husband for paying too much attention to other woman

A Florida menage-a-trois went awry after Mindi Rice, 29, woke up to find her husband David, also 29, fooling around with their guest while she was asleep and she decided to use a handgun to break them up.

Firing waing shots in the ceiling after a drug-fueled evening of passion, Mrs Rice said she would kill the other woman she accused of making a move on her man.

Mr Rice was able to wrestle the weapon away from his enraged wife until the Zephyrhills Police came and arrested them both for assault.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that on the evening of August 29, the duo injected themselves with prescription drugs and had sex with an unidentified 24-year-old woman.

The trio fell asleep and when Mrs Rice awoke, she found her husband trying to have sex again with their new friend - without her.

Enraged, she grabbed a loaded revolver and threatened to kill the woman, firing haphazardly into the ceiling of their 20th Street home.

Mr Rice insisted that he was 'only trying to grab the covers to cover himself'.

Mrs Rice didn't want to hear his excuses, police said.

Mr Rice grabbed the gun away and grabbed hold of her throat 'with one hand while holding the handgun beside her face', the police report said.

'B----, I'll f------ kill you,' he told her.

He wasn't bluffing and fired the gun into the wall, the bullet flying by her face.

The 24-year-old managed to escape around 2 a.m. and call police, but Mr and Mrs Rice refused to leave their home.

A SWAT team had to be called in as the two stay barricaded inside for two hours.

They emerged eventually, but Mr Rice fought with deputies that gave him a jolt from a Taser.

He ran back inside his house for a bit and was finally persuaded to give himself up.

Both were charged with aggravated assault. Mr Rice was also charged with obstructing officers and was held without bail.

He was due to appear in court on September 4 to face charges of burglary. grand theft auto and possession of oxycodone, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Mrs Rice was held on $5,000 bail.  Records show that she was sentenced in June to two years of felony probation for fraud after she stole a credit card in 2011 to bail her husband out of jail.

The mother of two, who works at Pattie Electric, has posted on Facebook about her trials to stay clean.

'Why is life such a struggle why cant things just be the way they were in high school no worries no bills and we just worked to party god life was good dont yall think,' she posted.
