Fourth suspect arrested in burglary of Shedeur Sanders’ home, Georgia police say
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with the Nov. 16 burglary of Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ Ohio residence, DeKalb County police said Friday.
Police took 20-year-old Carlos DeAnthony Morris into custody Thursday at an apartment in the 4600 block of Glenwood Road. He was wanted by the Medina County (Ohio) Sheriff’s Office on burglary warrants stemming from the incident in Granger Township, a suburb of Cleveland.
Officers executed a search warrant on the apartment and recovered multiple firearms, including two classified as machine guns, along with about 16 ounces of promethazine and roughly a half-pound of marijuana, police said. DeKalb County Animal Control also took custody of a dog found at the scene that appeared neglected.
Morris remained in the DeKalb County Jail Friday, awaiting extradition to Ohio.
Three other suspects previously arrested in connection with the burglary Jarvet Myrick, Deandrez Jackson and Maurice Taylor were taken into custody in Georgia last year. Investigators allege the group stole about $200,000 in property from the home while Sanders was playing in his first regular-season NFL game.
Sanders, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, has spoken publicly about the break-in, saying none of his jewelry was taken and that the experience has not rattled him.
