Men Charged in Fatal DUI Accident of Cheyenne Sauls Plan to Plea
Cheyenne Sauls, a 16-year-old Villa Rica student, was killed in an alleged DUI accident Feb. 19.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. - Two men charged in a deadly drunken driving accident told a Douglas County judge Wednesday they wanted to plea out in the case, rather than go to trial.

Jason Lark and Dustin Willis are charged with vehicular homicide and other charges.

Prosecutors say Lark was driving a car full of people in February when the SUV overtued, killing 16-year-old Cheyenne Sauls.

Police say the people in the car had been drinking and Willis allegedly attempted to destroy evidence.

Douglas County District Attoey David McDade said despite the plan to the plea, the two men will serve time in prison.

”We haven’t negotiated a sentence. The defense attoeys are hopeful they can negotiate some resolution that has a number they can live with, but vehicular homicides we prosecute severely and they’re going to prison, McDade said.

In addition to Cheyenne, two other people were also hurt in the crash.

Charges were also filed in the case against several other people for allegedly allowing the underage party and providing alcohol to minors.
