Maritime Instructor Scott Saarheim arrested for drugging student, performing sex act

Scott Saarheim, an instructor at the Califoia Maritime Academy was arrested Saturday and accused of performing a sex act on a drugged student.

The college instructor was arrested Saturday moing and has since been released on bail.

Investigators said the accusations stemmed from a party a week ago at the teacher's Vallejo home.

Police said an out of state student in his 20s and his friend were invited to a group gathering at his teacher’s home.

“Sometime during that social gathering he was directed by the professor to a different part of the home where he was introduced to some sort of intoxicating substance,” said Vallejo police Lt. Kenny Park. “At that point he realized the professor was orally copulating him.”

Police identified the teacher as 46-year-old Scott Saarheim, a marine vocational instructor at the Califoia Maritime Academy in Vallejo who's been a faculty member since 2000.

A school representative said they're waiting for more facts before commenting, but said they're treating this as a case of someone is innocent until proven guilty.
