MARIETTA, Ga. -- Cobb Couty Police are searching for a driver following a deadly hit-and-run.

Officials told GA Daily News reporter Rebecca Lindstron that the driver of a silver Porsche is accused of running into a black 1990 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle and leaving the 31-year-old Emmanuel Mitchell of Norcross to die. It happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night on Interstate 75 near the Windy Hill exit.

The investigation shut down parts of Interstate 75 South as police tried to determine the cause of the wreck. Police told Lindstrom that the motorcyclist was hit by at least one other vehicle before other drivers realized what had happened. A 23-year-old woman told officers her Mazda 3 hit the motorcyclist after the driver of the Porsche initially struck the bike. The woman, who doesn't currently face charges, said the Porsche fled.

Police are looking for a newer model silver Porsche coupe with tinted windows with moderate damage to the left front of the car.

Interstate 75 has been reopened.
