Marietta Big Chicken Restaurant Manager Robbed At Gunpoint

MARIETTA, Ga. - A fast-food restaurant manager headed to the bank to make a deposit Tuesday was robbed at gunpoint, Marietta police said.

It happened at about 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Big Chicken restaurant located at Marietta Parkway and U.S. 41.

Investigators said a well-dressed man wearing a shirt and tie approached the manager as she was getting into her red Ford Explorer to go make a deposit.

The perpetrator demanded the money and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, police said. She was unharmed, and police later recovered the SUV in the Lassiter Mobile Home Park directly behind the Big Chicken.

Police said the gunman remains at large.
