MARIETTA, Ga. - A Marietta woman was arrested after police say she called 911 to report a fake armed robbery to divert them from a nearby traffic stop involving her boyfriend.

Officers say Mai-Lynn Yim called police around 12:15 a.m. Sunday and told them she was being robbed in the parking lot of the Big Chicken on Cobb Parkway, according to the warrant.

Police say it was all a scheme to draw law enforcement away from her boyfriend, who was stopped by police in the area.

Yim was arrested and charged with false report of a crime.
