Losing skater gives winner two-fingered salute after losing at the European Championships
Sjinkie Knegt (R) of the Netherlands' team gestures next to Victor An (L) of the team of Russia celebrating after Russia won the men's 5000m relay final race of the ISU European Short Track speed skating Championships in Dresden, eastern Germany

SHORT track speed skater Viktor An was delighted when he clinched relay glory for Russia, his Netherlands' counterpart Sjinkie Knegt seemed less than impressed.

An, the three-time Olympic short track gold medallist, had just skated to victory at the European Championships in Dresden, Germany, when Knegt showed what he thought about Russia's win.

His obscene gesture resulted in Knegt being disqualified.

Both Knegt and An however will face off again next month at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

We will see if Knegt can keep it under control.
