Lamar Odom 'checks into rehab' for drug and alcohol addiction

LAMAR Odom has reportedly checked himself into a rehabilitation clinic.

The shamed basketball star's marriage to Khloe Kardashian, 29, is supposedly on the rocks following allegations he has a drug problem.

Some reports suggest he is addicted to cocaine while others state his problem is with Oxycontin and Ambien.

People magazine claims he checked himself into a drugs and alcohol treatment centre on Wednesday because he "realised he needs help".

It is unknown which facility the 33-year-old is at.

Reports of Odom's supposed drug use have escalated over the last few weeks, with one claiming he has spent as much as $US50,000 on cocaine.

On Friday he was arrested for DUI in Califoia after reportedly failing sobriety tests and refusing to be tested for chemicals.

Lamar is also alleged to have been unfaithful multiple times and it is claimed the entire Kardashian family is conceed about what he'll do next.

It is rumoured he is preparing to write a tell-all book about the brood for a massive pay out.

"If Lamar tus on the family, he could get paid a lot of money – the advance alone would be $5 million," a publishing insider told In Touch magazine.

"Lamar knows the truth."

The professional athlete doesn't think he is supported by his in-laws as he "feels all the Kardashians are against him" in his darkest hour.

For this reason he is allegedly prepared to lash out against multiple members of the reality TV family, including new mum Kim Kardashian.

"Lamar may go after Kim, who can be a self-absorbed monster," the source claimed.

"Lamar could also expose what Kim's done for money, who she's slept with and the awful things she's said about Kanye West."

Kris Jenner is the family manager and matriarch and it is claimed Lamar blames her for most of his scandalous media coverage.

"He blames Khloe's family for all the recent public drama," the insider said.

"He's deeply depressed and angry. He wants revenge."

Kim officially divorced professional basketball player Kris Humphries earlier this year and the athlete claimed throughout she crafted their 72-day marriage for publicity purposes only.

But Odom supposedly knows far more inside information than Humphries.

"What Kim's ex knew is nothing compared to everything Lamar knows," the source said.

"For three years Lamar had a front seat to watch how the Kardashians operate. He saw how the Kardashian magic is made on TV, how they faked scenes for the show."
