Katt Williams sentenced to 90 days in Jail
Comedian Katt Williams leaed his sentence Thursday on reckless driving charges for an incident in downtown Sacramento last Nov. 25.
The comic will spend 90 days in jail and serve 90 days of community service in Los Angeles. Should he not complete the community service, then he must serve the full 180 days behind bars.
Williams was also ordered to pay court costs and restitution. Sacramento Superior Court waived the restitution.
Upon completion of time served, Williams will have three years of unsupervised probation.
After court, Williams was asked about his actions.
"The stuff was just coming so fast and so furious, I got arrested five times in eight days. That's not something a law-abiding citizen generally has to deal with. So a lot of times I didn't handle it the best way."
Williams missed his first January court date on the Sacramento charges.
"At some point, you got to take responsibility for the mistakes and move on," Williams said.
He went on to say he likes Sacramento.
