Jury Indicts Ga. Driver Chasity Jones in Police Officer's Death
Chasity Jones, accused of hitting and killing an Atlanta police officer on the interstate, made her first court appearance on Thursday.

A Fulton County grand jury has indicted a 22-year-old woman with vehicular homicide and other charges in the crash that claimed the life of an Atlanta police officer.

The grand jury indicted Chasity Nicole Jones on 13 counts, including driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs and reckless driving.

Authorities say Senior Police Officer Gail D. Thomas was struck by a car on Jan. 24 while helping investigate a wreck on an interstate ramp.

Jones is being held at the Fulton County Jail without bond.
