Jesse James Chops Off Pinky Finger

Jesse James cut off his right pinkie finger in an accident at his Texas machine shop, on Tuesday.

The West Coast Choppers founder posted a series of tough guy snaps to Instagram of his bloodied digit, which was missing the front portion just below the nail bed.

Jesse captioned his gory pictures with steely but humorous references to the severed appendage as he headed to the University Medical Centre Brackenridge in Austin, Texas.

The 44-year-old confirmed with TMZ that the digit had been cleaved during an accident while manning a machine in his motorcycle shop.

The hardy mechanic took a stoic but humorous attitude to the incident with a series of updates regarding the mangled extremity.

The first Instagram snap featured his tattooed palm with the bloodied finger facing upwards.

The caption for the picture demonstrated a penchant for gallows humour as he wrote: ‘OOOpps, Bad day at the office.

The second update appeared to indicate that the bifurcated finger could not be re-attached.

The cryptic posting read: ‘Doesn't look like this little dude's gonna make it, Nice know'n you little buddy’

But less than an hour later the controversial celebrity updated his Instagram with another snap.

The third picture in the series showcased his total lack of squeamishness as he held up the wounded hand in the sign of the hos gesture aka the rock on symbol.
