Authorities in Henry County said three people including a little boy, were found dead inside a home in the Locust Grove area Monday afteoon.

The victims were James Bryant, 37, Melissa Bryant, 39, and Conner Patrick, 6. James Bryant is a former Henry County firefighter.

Police said the discovery was made Monday moing when police were stopped by for a welfare check. They said they found a back door to the home open, and upon entering, found the victims dead inside. 

Officers say all three bodies were found in a back bedroom. Police believe James Bryant shot and killed his wife, the 6-year-old boy and then himself, but say it is still considered a very active case and that is not confirmed.
