Authorities are investigating a double homicide in Coweta County.

Investigators believe Michael Cantrell, 20, and his friend Wesley Watson, 26, were murdered sometime oveight at a home on Widgeon Drive just southwest of Newnan. Their bodies were discovered after neighbors called police around 1:30 Monday afteoon. Investigators say they were fatally shot.

Investigators say Cantrell lived at the home with his parents, who were out-of-state whenever the two were shot.

GBI has been called in to investigating the crime scene while sheriff's deputies are interviewing neighbors.

No suspects have been identified at this time.
