Idaho science teacher Tim McDaniel investigated for saying 'vagina' during sex ed class
Tim McDaniel, a science teacher at the high school in tiny Dietrich, Idaho (population 332), recently became the subject of an investigation into his teaching methods. Why? For one, saying "vagina." McDaniel was teaching 10th graders a course on the human reproductive system, in which the vagina plays a somewhat pivotal role. A group of parents were upset he used the accepted nomenclature for the female sex organ, as well as McDaniel's explaining the biology of an orgasm. He also showed a video clip of what herpes looks like, talked about birth control and cracked jokes.
In other words, he was doing his job. McDaniel, who had never received a complaint in his previous 18 years at the school, faces a possible reprimand and could lose his job. [Source]
