UPDATE: Police have identified the mother of a toddler found behind a dumpster in College Park on Thursday moing and now authorities are hoping to locate her.
According to authorities, the child's mother is named Destiny Walker. Police do not have any information about the identity of the boy's father.
COLLEGE PARK, GA - Police found a baby behind dumpsters near a gas station in College Park Thursday.
According to police, officers responded to the Waffle House on Old National Highway at about 6 a.m.
They said a homeless man found the baby boy behind the dumpsters of the Valero gas station.
The man flagged down a 17-year-old in a car, who then called police.
Police said the baby appears to be in good health. They believe he is between 1 and 2 years old.
Police are currently in the area looking for any information pertaining to the child and the location and identification of his parents or guardians.
