High school art teacher Jaimie Page , 25, arrested for having sex with one of her students

A high school art teacher was arrested on Thursday for having a sexual relationship with one of her students.

Jaimie Dominy Page was picked up by police at a traffic stop in Sante Fe, New Mexico and arrested on several counts relating to her improper relationship with a male high school student.

The 25-year-old art teacher is accused of sending explicit photos and having a sexual relationship with the underage boy.

He has not been identified either by name or age given the fact he is a minor and the nature of the crime.

There are conflicting reports of whether she sent or received the explicit photo, as KHOU 11 alleges that she sent a sexually explicit photo to the student, while ABC 13 reports that she sent a picture of the student to an unidentified third party.

Sante Fe High School officials leaed of the inappropriate relationship in February and placed her on administrative leave on February 20.

The school started an investigation to substantiate sexual abuse allegations and to see how widespread it was.

The investigation continues but she was arrested for her actions with one student.

She faced charges of sexual abuse of a child, online solicitation of a minor, and an improper relationship between a teacher and a student.

Page was arrested Thursday afteoon and posted a $50,000 bond in order to be released the same afteoon.
