Heart Attack Grill's biggest fan John Alleman dies of (yes) a heart attack
Live by the sword, die by the sword. John Alleman loved Las Vegas theme restaurant Heart Attack Grill so much that he would stand outside and encourage passers-by to try the lard-fried Flatliner Fries and the nearly 10,000-calorie Quadruple Bypass Burger; his caricature appears on the restaurant’s menu and clothing line.
On Monday, the 52-year-old Alleman died from a heart attack he suffered last week. "I told him if you keep eating like this, it's going to kill ya," owner Jon Basso says. Two other diners suffered similar, though nondeadly, fates in 2012 — one while eating a Triple Bypass Burger and the other a Double Bypass.
