MACON, Ga. - A court hearing for a Georgia law school graduate charged with killing a classmate has been canceled.

Stephen McDaniel's attoey says Friday his client is waiving his right for a preliminary hearing on child poography charges against McDaniel.

The Telegraph of Macon also reports that McDaniel waived his right to a similar hearing in July after he was charged with burglarizing two apartments.

The 25-year-old is charged with killing Lauren Giddings, his 27-year-old neighbor who disappeared in June after graduating from Mercer University's School of Law. Her torso was found on June 20 in a trash cart outside her apartment. No additional remains have been
