Hawkinsville Man Birago Blackshear Accused of Killing Ex-Girlfriend Ashton Bartlett
HAWKINSVILLE, Ga. - A 33-year-old man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend.
WMAZ-TV reports that Birago Blackshear has been arrested and charged in the killing Saturday of 18-year-old Ashton Miranda Bartlett.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Todd Lowery said Pulaski County sheriff's deputies were called early Saturday moing to a home and found the wounded woman outside. She later died at Taylor Regional Hospital.
An autopsy of the victim was planned for Monday.
Blackshear was being held Monday moing in the Pulaski County jail. It was not clear if he had an attoey.
