Harrison Ford proves he is the grumpiest man in the world during interview with GQ
Actor Harrison Ford playing a really grumpy guy in Morning Glory. Not that he needed to do much acting.

HARRISON Ford's grumpy streak is spiralling out of control, if this curt interview with GQ is any indication.

Ford was supposed to be flogging his new science fiction film, Ender's Game, which is released in Australia tomorrow. Instead he appeared to be fighting a losing battle against boredom.

Here are a few of the questions GQ asked, along with Ford's gruff answers.

Q: You've had a disproportionate amount of success with science fiction: the Star Wars trilogy, Blade Runner, now Ender's Game ...

A: That's three out of 41.

Q: Although it's three of the more prominent ones, right?

A: If you say so.

Ford isn't much of a sci-fi fan then. Nor is he much of a philosopher. Asked why we're so entertained by kids killing each other on screen, with reference to Ender's Game and The Hunger Games, Ford's response was simple.

"Beats the s**t out of me," he said.

After struggling through some more curt answers, the interviewer finished by asking whether there's a trick to making "seemingly ridiculous dialogue" work.

"Yeah. That's my job. That's why I get paid," Ford said, again demonstrating incredible insight.

Ford's gruffness can be endearing in small doses, in a "grumpy uncle" sort of way, but we're betting the interviewer wasn't impressed.
