BRASELTON, Ga. - Hall County Sheriff Deputies say they arrested a man after he entered a home and robbed the elderly resident.

Brandon James Allison, 25, used a handgun to steal the resident's purse at 5300 block of Thompson Mill Road in Braselton, then ran away into the nearby woods.

Deputies responding to the armed robbery call quickly established a perimeter, sent out a K-9 team and Allison was caught and arrested.

Investigators said that Allison was also responsible for multiple vehicle break-ins in the neighborhood.

He was charged with burglary, armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, elder abuse and entering auto. At the time of the arrest, authorities said Allison had outstanding arrest warrants in Hall, White and Jackson counties.

Additional charges may be pending.
