Gwinnett County police say a man who was found dead on his driveway was fatally shot during a home invasion robbery.

Cpl. Jake Smith says 45-year-old Brian Whitfield was seen lying on the driveway of his home in unincorporated Aubu on Friday moing and was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency responders.

Smith says several items were missing from the man's home, along with his truck. Smith says Whitfield drove a 2005 "Rumble Bee" edition Dodge Ram with Georgia tag PCY1995. Smith says the truck is black with a yellow stripe near the tailgate.

Smith says tipsters should contact Crime Stoppers at 404-557-TIPS or visit www.crimestoppersatlanta.org.

Smith says tipsters who contact Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 leading to an arrest and indictment.
