Gunmen open fire at Lil Wayne as he rides tour bus

There were scenes of terror in Atlanta, Georgia early on Sunday moing when some unidentified gunmen fired shots at a tour bus carrying rap star Lil Wayne and his entourage.

The star had been travelling on the bus following a nightclub performance when the attack occurred.

No one was injured in the attack, which saw several shots strike the bus.

The attack comes around a month after reports of gunfire at Lil Wayne’s home, which were later dismissed as a prank.

In 2010, Lil Wayne was jailed after he was caught with a firearm on his tour bus on several occasions.

Witnesses described the attackers’ vehicles as ‘two white, possibly Corvette-style’ cars but there is currently no further information on who could have been behind the shooting.

The tour buses were carrying around a dozen people at the time.
