Georgia Teens Arrested In School Bus Sex Act
COVINGTON, Ga. -- Authorities said two Georgia teenagers face criminal charges after a video camera caught them engaged in a sex act with a teen girl on a school bus in Newton County.
Jail records showed the two 17-year-old boys were charged last week with felony sodomy and child molestation. Officials said the girl involved was 15.
Newton County prosecutor Anne Kurtz said the charges are actually misdemeanors because the accused teens are minors.
Newton County sheriff's Lt. Keith Crum said a video camera on the bus filmed the teens in a sex act Nov. 29.
Crum said the girl will not be charged because of her age. The legal age to consent to sex in Georgia is 16.
