Five people were shot and one person killed at the Strikers motorcycle club in Atlanta early Sunday, say police.

Anthony Sheppard Sr. says that the Strikers club was packed full on Saturday night into the moing hours of Sunday, with hundreds of people celebrating the club’s 38th anniversary. He says the incident occurred around 3 a.m. when a fight broke out and the shooting ensued. ”Shots just rang out. We didn’t know where the shots where the shots were coming from. It was just pow pow pow pow, Sheppard told reporters.

Feando Wingfield, aged 44, was shot and killed during the incident. Wingfield was not a member of the club, but visited there often, says Sheppard. Another male victim had surgery on Sunday moing after receiving multiple gunshot wounds. Two females were also shot and are reportedly in stable condition. Information on the fifth victim is not yet available.

 

Police did not comment on whether the Sunday moing shooting had any relation with gang activity.

"There's gangs everywhere, especially in Atlanta, in this area that you're in right now," a passerby told reporters.
