Gainesville woman Cindy Wingo accused of stealing thousands in fine jewels

On Friday, September 9th, 2011, Sheriff’s Investigators arrested a Gainesville woman in connection with two separate jewelry theft cases.

Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division initially took reports for the thefts on August 16th and September 7th, 2011. The first case occurred at a residence in the 4600 block of Old Coelia Highway in Lula, where approximately $800 worth of jewelry items were stolen. The second case took place at a residence in the 3300 block of Joe Chandler Road, where jewelry valued at approximately $2700 was stolen.

Investigators developed information from both cases, leading to the arrest of 43 year-old Cindy Wingo of Gainesville.

Ms. Wingo was arrested without incident and booked into the Hall County Jail, charged with two counts of Felony Theft by Taking.
This incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division.
