Fulton County police said they are searching for gunmen who chased down a man, shot and killed him in a truck stop parking lot.

The shooting happened just before midnight Wednesday on Fulton Industrial Boulevard near I-20.

"We received a call on shots fired here at 4590 Fulton Industrial Boulevard," said Cpl. Melissa Parker with the Fulton County Police Department.

Police said when they arrived, they found a man between two semi-trucks who had been shot.

Witnesses at the scene told police they saw the man being chased by two men. "It is an active investigation and they are currently working it," said Parker.

Police said it does not appear any truck drivers were involved.
