When the suspects found a safe, the couple refused to give up the code. That's when the suspects assaulted the man by pistol-whipping him in the face and kicking him in the ribs. When they started to bu the female with a curling iron, the couple gave up the safe's code.
The home invaders got away with money and computers.
Police say they believe the incident was not random. They think the suspects may have had some knowledge of the couple's business.
The man and woman were treated for their injuries at their home. No names have been released in connection with the incident.
