Fort Stewart Man Zachary Northup Charged In Web Sex Predator Sting
BARROW COUNTY, Ga. -- A Fort Stewart man was arrested after he solicited sex from someone who he thought was a minor, deputies said.
An undercover Barrow County sheriff’s deputy spent two months chatting online with 21-year-old Zachary Northup, Barrow County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Matt Guthas said. Guthas said the deputy was pretending to be a 15-year-old girl.
On Friday, Northup drove to Winder to meet the girl to have sex, but instead, he was met by a group of deputies, Guthas said.
Northup was arrested and charged with computer poography, child exploitation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
