Forbes World's Most Powerful Women 2015 list: Angela Merkel and Michelle Obama make the top 15

These are the 15 most powerful women in the world

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is officially the most influential woman on earth, according to the Forbes World's Most Powerful Women 2015 list.

Making the cut is no easy feat and the 100 women who did are all kinds of inspirational. The kind of women you want to be. Yes Oprah Winfrey.

Forbes' list includes ‘foremost heads of state, iconic entrepreneurs and CEOs, celebrity role models, billionaire activists, and pioneer philanthropists, all ranked by money, media momentum, spheres of influence and impact'.

The top 15 super women in this year's list:

2. Hillary Clinton, US Presidential candidate

3. Melinda Gates, Co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

4. Janet Yellen, Chair of the Federal Reserve, Washington

5. Mary Barra, CEO at General Motors

6. Christine Lagarde, Managing directorof the Inteational Monetary Fund

7. Dilma Rousseff, President of Brazil

8. Sheryl Sandberg, COO at Facebook

9. Susan Wojcicki, CEO at YouTube, Google

10. Michelle Obama, FLOTUS (First lady of the United States)

11. Park Geun-hye, President of South Korea

12. Oprah Winfrey, Actress, Director/Producer, Entrepreneur, Personality, Philanthropist

13. Ginni Rometty, CEO at IBM

14. Meg Whitman, CEO at Hewlett-Packard

Queen Bey came in at number 21 topping the entertainment category, Anna Wintour shimmied into position 28 and Taylor Swift is shaking things up at number 68 this year.
