First Snow Hits North Georgia
BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. - The first taste of winter hit the higher elevations of north Georgia Friday.
The light dusting of snow fell around 9:30 a.m on Brasstown Bald near Blairsville, Meteorologist Doug Evans reported. Evans climbed 4,000 feet to find it.
The sun was shining Friday moing and the sky as blue has the sun rose. But possible snow clouds could be seen in the distance from Blairsville.
Most of north Georgia and the metro are is under a freeze waing from Friday night until Saturday at 10 a.m.
