CEDARTOWN, Ga. - Flames broke out on Monday moing at a meat packing plant in Cedartown. Polk County firefighters say fire sparked in a vacant building at Zartic Industries on Adamson Road.

Thick smoke billowed into the sky, and it could be seen for miles.

Authorities say the building used to house frozen chickens, but it was vacant when the fire broke out. They say two workers who were involved in making repairs to the building were trapped on the roof for a short time, but they were later rescued and were not injured.
