About a dozen Douglas County fire units worked a massive fire on Highway 78 and Highway 92 in Douglasville.

Douglas County Public Information Officer Wes Tallon said approximately 12 fire units were on the scene at 5840 Bankhead Highway, from the city of Douglasville and Douglas County fire departments.

Fire official said they called upon many fire units because they didn't want any firefighters to be battling the fire for too long in the 90-degree heat on Friday.

The sign on the front of the building identifies as the JDBR Full Auto Training Center and Pistol Range, but the building was being renovated for a new state-of-the-art pistol range under new owners.

Tallon said there were no injuries reported.
