ATLANTA - Firefighters are battling a major blaze at an Atlanta charter school.

The fire broke out Friday moing at the Kipp West Atlanta Young Scholars Academy.

It appeared the flames had bued through the roof of the three-story brick building.

The school's website describes it as a "free college preparatory charter school serving students of West Atlanta." It is part of the Atlanta public school system.
