Fighting Middle School teachers Milan Ethridge and Brittany Randolph-Johnson arrested, to be terminated
Milan Ethridge and Brittany Randolph-Johnson were arrested for their involvement in a fight during a class at Stone Mountain Middle School.

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA   - The DeKalb County School District say a teacher and a paraprofessional involved in a fight in front of students at Stone Mountain Middle School have been arrested misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges and will be terminated.

The district released a statement regarding the termination of the employees on Wednesday but did not specify when they would be terminated.

"The two school employees caught on video in the fight in the classroom last Friday will be terminated following the conclusion of the appropriate district processes.

On May 19, a student at Stone Mountain Middle School, which is northeast of downtown Atlanta recorded a brawl between a teacher and paraprofessional on her cell phone. The video shows students screaming  as the two got into a fist fight right in front of their desks. The women are seen throwing punches and pulling hair, and another adult had to get in the middle to break it up.

”From what I think I know the teachers were arguing about a teacher, a male teacher, and they started arguing and it went on for about three to five minutes, a student said. ”Everyone was screaming stop, stop, stop."

After the fight was finally broken up, students say school officials came into the classroom, went through their cell phones and made them delete any evidence of it.

”Nobody apologized they just came in and were like who videotaped this and stuff like that, A student said.  ”I think they were trying to push it under the rug so nobody would know about it and the school’s reputation wouldn’t be messed up."

The DeKalb County School District says it's not aware of staff going through the student's phones.
