The FBI has joined in the search for a woman accused of robbing three jewelry stores in three different states within the past month.
The woman has been caught on surveillance footage, but investigators still don’t know who she is and are hoping to catch her before she strikes again.
Investigators told ABC News that the woman’s first stop was in Dawsonville on Aug. 5. Police said she forced employees to the back of the story, tied their hands with zip ties and stole about $13,000 in jewelry from the store.
”The robber was a woman with a "masculine build," Tony Wooten with the Dawson County Sheriff's Office told CNN.com.
ABC says the next heist happened on Aug. 11, this time at a Reeds Jewelers in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Investigators said the woman grabbed $40,000 worth of goods before getting away. UPS driver Ted Simmons arrived minutes later to find store employees tied up there as well.
”They were lying flat on the floor of the bathroom, when I see them they were very terrified, Simmons told ABC News.
"The employee stated the suspect had entered the store one day prior to the robbery and asked about the same items," Robert Clarkson of the Panama City Beach Police Department told CNN.com.
Investigators said the more recent robbery happened earlier this week at a Jared store on the South Carolina coast, in Bluffton.
Police said the woman was wearing a cowboy hat and showed a gun. Again, police said she forced employees into the back of the store before tying them up.
