Ex-Hall County Corrections Officer, Eric Miller, Charged With Bribery
GAINESVILLE, Ga. - A former Hall County corrections officer was arrested after authorities say he admitted taking money from inmates in exchange for letting them use drugs and visit girlfriends on work detail.
Hall County Sheriff's Col. Jeff Strickland says 33-year-old Eric Miller was fired on Nov. 15. He says Miller will be charged with violating his oath of office, bribery and sale of marijuana.
County officials say they began investigating the jailer after they say they discovered a baggy of marijuana in his uniform coat pocket.
An attoey for Miller could not immediately be reached.
