THE rapper Drake apologised Saturday for lashing out at Rolling Stone magazine for replacing him on the cover with Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The Hold On, We’re Going Home crooner tweeted Friday that he was “disgusted” with the magazine’s decision to ditch him from the front cover.

“RIP to Philip Seymour Hoffman,” he continued. “All respect due. But the press is evil.” He added he was finished doing magazine interviews.

After guffaws from critics, Drake apologised in a blog post at the weekend, saying that he was frustrated with the way the magazine executed the story.

“I completely support and agree with Rolling Stone” putting the actor on the cover, he said.

“The circumstances at hand are completely justifiable (on the magazines behalf), but I was not able to salvage my story or my photos and that was devastating.”

He called Hoffman “legendary”.

The Oscar-winning actor died of a suspected heroin overdose on February 2.
