STATHAM, Ga.  — Authorities are looking for a woman accused of dragging a police officer with her car before running over his legs during a traffic stop.

The Barrow County Sheriff's Office tells news outlets that 28-year-old Jessica Fox is wanted for probation violation, and arrest warrants are being processed for speeding, failure to yield, driving on a suspended driver's license, giving a false name and date of birth to law enforcement, fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement, aggravated battery on a police officer and aggravated assault on a police officer

Sheriff's spokesman Capt. Ryan Sears Sears says the incident occured just after 5 p.m on Aug. 27 after Statham Police Officer Marc Lofton pulled Fox over during a traffic stop when Fox drove off, dragging Lofton and running over his legs as she sped away.

Lofton was taken to a hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

Fox's car was found in Statham. She is also wanted for a probation violation.

A $1,000 reward is offered to any information leading to Fox's arrest.
