A $56 million budget shortfall means huge program cuts or big tax increases are on the way for DeKalb County schools. A large crowd of parents tued out Thursday night to voice their conces about those cuts.

The proposed cuts could affect many special programs and school choice options in the county.

According to school board members, there are many programs that could be on the chopping block such as some of the magnet programs, including the Febank Scientific Tools and Techniques program.
