Dawsonville couple David Geyer and Erin Niccole Jones dead in murder-suicide
Dawson County investigators said the bodies of a man and woman found in a home on Maple Hill Drive in Dawsonville died in an apparent murder-suicide.
Investigators said David Geyer II, 43, of Dawsonville, shot his girlfriend, Erin Niccole Jones, 28, also of Dawsonville, before tuing the gun on himself. Investigators told FOX 5 News that some kind of a dispute involving a gun lead up to the incident.

The Dawson County Sheriff's Office said someone inside the home called 911 around 1:15 on Wednesday afteoon. Deputies responded and entered the home where they found the couple. Authorities said the woman was in her 20s and the man was in his 40s. It is believed the two were in a relationship and both lived at the home.
Their bodies were tued over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations crime lab for autopsy.
"Nobody knew them really well," said neighbor Rebecca Meeks. "But I'm still shocked and feel bad for them."
Investigators also said several children lived in the home, but were not there when the shooting happened. Those children are now safe with other family members.
Investigators continue to piece together the bizarre chain of events and said it will likely be sometime Thursday when the victims' identities are released.
Jones was a 911 communications supervisor in Forsyth County.
Investigators said there were no previous reports of violence at the home.
A candlelight vigil and memorial service will be held Saturday at 8 p.m. at the track field at North Forsyth High School, located 3635 Coal Mountain Drive in Cumming. Those attending are encouraged to wear green, which was Erin’s favorite color.
